What is the difference between ternary lithium batteries and lithium iron phosphate batteries

Time:2023-11-23 Views:

1. Differences

(1) Lithium iron phosphate battery: A lithium-ion battery using lithium iron phosphate as the positive electrode material.

(2) Ternary lithium battery: The positive electrode material of the lithium battery is made of nickel cobalt lithium manganate or nickel cobalt lithium aluminate.

2. The main materials are different:

(1) Lithium iron phosphate battery: The positive electrode materials of lithium-ion batteries mainly include lithium cobalt acid, lithium manganese acid, lithium nickel acid, ternary materials, lithium iron phosphate, etc. Is lithium cobalt oxide the cathode material for most lithium-ion batteries.

(2) Ternary lithium battery: The ternary composite cathode material is made of nickel salt, cobalt salt, and manganese salt as raw materials. The proportion of nickel, cobalt, and manganese can be adjusted according to actual needs.

3. Different applications:

(1) Lithium iron phosphate batteries: Large electric vehicles: buses, electric vehicles, scenic tour buses, and hybrid electric vehicles; Light electric vehicles: electric bicycles, golf carts, small flat battery trucks, forklifts, cleaning vehicles, electric wheelchairs, etc; Electric tools: electric drills, electric saws, lawn mowers, etc.

(2) Ternary lithium batteries: widely used in mobile and wireless electronic devices, electric tools, hybrid and electric transportation, and other fields.
